Medical massage is an outcome-based system of client care and treatment designed to resolve discomfort that arises from imbalances in the body (such as tight muscles, injuries, poor posture and body mechanics).
With the knowledge that nothing in the body works in isolation, we aim to restore overall balance and equilibrium to soft tissues so that the client feels better and can get back to doing the important things in life.
This is not spa massage. It is not relaxation massage (though many comment on how relaxing it is). This is gentle structural changes to the body to get people feeling, moving, and living better.
Each session is influenced by what is causing discomfort. We begin with an orthopedic-style assessment to pinpoint the root cause of the problem. Then, through an interactive experience where client and therapist work as a team, the body is put back into balance using range-of-motion exercises, stretches, and soft-tissue manipulations.
