No Politics, Please

The assassination of Charlie Kirk surpasses basic politics and lands firmly in the arena of true evil.
In light of recent events, we politely decline inquiries or business from those who celebrated Charlie Kirk’s death. Having an opinion of someone is fine, but glorifying the assassination of a man like this does not align with our values. Nevertheless, we extend a warm welcome to all others and look forward to collaborating with you in your journey towards better health.
Here at Springs Medical Massage we recognize that we’re living in wild times and that, for many, the world is a stressful place. Our aim is to create an environment that allows you to step away from those worries and focus on your own well-being.
We all know that stress can show up in a number of ways, and that the body responds to that stress in physiologically predictable ways, including:
Increased heart rate
Increased blood pressure
Increased alertness
Increased cortisol production
Hypersensitivity to stimulus
In an acute situation, these things can help you outrun a bear (or your hiking companion, at the very least), but in a chronic state, all of these things can tax your heart, your circulatory system, your adrenals, and your temper.
Regardless, we’re sure you’d agree that these autonomic responses run counter to your session goals. So in order to better serve you, we have instituted a policy for Springs Medical Massage wherein we ask that you leave all political talk at the door.
We think you probably have enough stressors in your life, and we’d love your appointment to be a reprieve from all of that.
The truth of the matter is, even when you’re discussing ideas that you’re impassioned about with someone that agrees with you, there is still the propensity to get agitated.
We love that you feel strongly about the state of our country.
We love that you feel comfortable enough to share your worldviews with us.
We ask, however, that you save those conversations for your friends and family (or fighting with strangers on the internet).
This policy has been effective since January 1st, 2024, and has been so well received it’s now permanent policy.
We appreciate your help in keeping the office a respite from the outside world, if only for an hour at a time.
